Dr Athina Borg
Doctor of Chiropractor BSc (UNSW) M. Chiro Member CAA
Athina is the founder and director of Macarthur Natural Health Clinic, which she has established over the past 20 years.
Her Bachelor of Science Degree from New South Wales University includes an Anatomy major. She also completed 5 years’ study in Chiropractic, including a 2 year Masters’ Degree from Macquarie University. Athina has completed further studies in Musculoskeletal Acupuncture, Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), Activator Technique and is proficient in manual adjusting techniques including Diversified.
Athina grew up in the Macarthur region, and feels a deep sense of commitment towards its community, through aiding healing and maintenance of health.
Athina has been thrilled to have Macarthur Natural Clinic develop, particularly through word of mouth referrals, and has seen a rapidly expanding waiting list of potential clients. Motivation to attend has been sparked by patients who started seeing personal health improvements, began understanding imbalances in their lives and how to correct them, and wished to share their positive experiences at the Clinic with family and friends.
Dr Julianne Lam
Chiropractor BSc Chiro (Macq) M.Chiro ART Provider
Julianne has been a member of the team since 2010. Graduating from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Masters of Chiropractic. Julianne has also furthered her studies to keep up to date with current treatment and diagnostic methods. Her studies include:

Julianne has been involved in playing competitive Ultimate Frisbee, which has taken her around Australia and overseas. She also keeps active with Pilates and tennis. Julianne has a strong interest in sports injuries, providing Chiropractic care for athletes at the 2018 X Games in Sydney, the ice hockey and WWE professional wrestlers. Her clinical focus on movement and its role in recovery, injury prevention, and long term health is applied to patients of all stages of life. Julianne works closely with patients to provide individualised care and education to support the patient’s goals and return to performance.
Dr Brian Borbe
Chiropractor BSc (UNSW) M.Chiro ART Provider
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New South Wales (2005), with a major in Anatomy, followed by his Masters of Chiropractic from Macquarie University (2009).
He is proficient in a broad range of evidence-based techniques to address musculoskeletal and soft-tissue conditions. These include Active Release Techniques (ART), a specialized soft-tissue diagnostic and treatment method effective for issues such as headaches, sports injuries, and sciatica. Brian also incorporates low-force options including Acupuncture, Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Activator methods, and Terminal Point Technique. For patients preferring or requiring manual approaches, he is skilled in Diversified adjusting techniques, enabling tailored care for diverse patient needs.
Brian has extensive experience working with elite athletes. He provided ongoing support to members of Liverpool’s KMA Top Team, assisting martial arts competitors in rapid injury recovery and performance optimization. Additional high-profile work includes chiropractic care for the Canadian basketball team during their Australian tour ahead of the 2019 FIBA World Cup, WWE professional wrestlers, and athletes at the X-Games Sydney in 2018.
Committed to paediatric and neurodevelopmental care, Brian completed a Diplomate in Developmental Neurology in Chiropractic Paediatrics in 2020, equipping him to support children as well as women during pre- and post-pregnancy periods. In recent years, he achieved board certification as a member of the International Board of Functional Neurology in Childhood Neurodevelopmental Disorders (IBFN-CND) and became Melillo Method Certified (2024). These advanced credentials enable him to offer targeted neurological rehabilitation approaches for children and adults presenting with conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, dyslexia, non-verbal developmental challenges, and related neurodevelopmental concerns.
Brian remains dedicated to ongoing education in functional neurology, ensuring he can provide up-to-date, individualized care for patients across all ages.
Dr Jin Woong Kim
Chiropractor BSc (Health & Ex.Sc) M.Chiro
In 2013, Jin graduated from Macquarie University with his Masters of Chiropractic. Prior to attaining this degree Jin completed his Bachelor of Science (Health & Exercise Science) degree at the University of New South Wales. Jin was an accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise Sports Science Australia. These studies have allowed him to work with his patients to help achieve their fitness and health goals. Further skills Jin has obtained after his studies include Dry Needling, Active Release Technique (ART), Activator Technique, Hawkgrips and is proficient in manual adjusting techniques including Diversified.
Jin’s main focus is to assist patients in improving their activities of daily living and quality of life by making sure their body is functioning optimally and as efficiently as possible.
Jin is a strong believer of this, and regularly gets treatment himself as he trains and prepares for his bodybuilding competitions. He is a reliable chiropractor who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure patients are satisfied and comfortable. He also Routinely receives ongoing education to keep abreast of new developments in chiropractic care.
Dr Jake Peirce
Chiropractic BChiroSc, M.Chiro Member CAA
Jake graduated from the prestigious Macquarie University in Sydney and looks to provide his local community with the best available care. It was after experiencing multiple injuries in high school, he directed his passion to help those with neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. He has experience treating athletes in various sports and at all levels of competition. This includes rugby league school championships, super Sikhs cup and on a more regular basis the university rugby and AFL teams.
Jake works alongside the other practitioners here in the clinic to bring an integrated approach to his treatment to ensure the best treatment is made available to each so they can reach their optimum health.
In addition, Jake strives to understand and utilize the most evidence-based approach to manual therapy. This comes from a strong passion to look for new and better ways to treat his patients. He is able to utilize a multitude of techniques and experience that suits the treatment requirements of the individual patient. Jake is looking forward to discussing your treatment options in a caring and confidential environment. It should be emphasized that he sees patients of all ages, including pediatrics through to geriatrics.
Dr Michael Ahn
Chiropractor
In 2013, Michael graduated from Macquarie University, completing a Bachelor Chiropractic Science and a Masters of Chiropractic. Michael is a strong believer of preventative and natural healthcare and his main goal of practise is to optimize the function of the body as well as helping patients to improve their quality of life.
Michael has a high level of motivation, a good work ethic and his passion for chiropractic care is fuelled by the positive degrees of patient improvement and satisfaction. He aims to discipline patients with postural education and rehabilitation exercises tailored to their needs, hence optimizing their overall health.
Michael has always been an athletic person, involving himself in a variety of sports such as athletics, soccer, golf, tennis and training himself at the gym. In 2017 Michael became a Fitness Model Pro in Australia for Bodybuilding. Michael desires is to share his knowledge to help patients through injuries and his strong ambition is to educate them on the conditioning and enhancing the ability of their sports and exercise.
Emma Stuccio
Remedial Massage Therapist | Lymphoedema Practitioner (Dr. Vodder)
Emma is an experienced Massage Therapist with over 10years of practice in the field and is very passionate about her work and caring for patients. Emma can provide a wide range of treatments including cupping and hot stone massage.
Emma completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage at TAFE NSW in 2009. Most recently, Emma has completed her Dr Vodder training, enabling her to treat patients suffering from Lymphoedema and other lymphatic conditions. In conjunction with Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage Emma may also use low level laser and lymphatic taping as part of her care and treatment.
Katherine Willis
Remedial Massage Therapist | Oncology Practitioner | Lymphoedema Practitioner (Casley-Smith Method)
Katherine is a highly accomplished Remedial Massage Therapist with over 22 years of clinical experience serving the Macarthur community. Since completing her Diploma of Remedial Massage at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies in 2004, she has cultivated a diverse therapeutic toolkit, specialising in Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Pregnancy Massage, Hot Stone, and Cupping Therapy.
A dedicated advocate for patient-centred care, Katherine is also a qualified Oncology Practitioner, providing safe and adaptive treatments for individuals navigating the complexities of cancer treatment and recovery. In 2024, she further advanced her clinical scope by becoming a certified Lymphoedema Therapist (Casley-Smith Method) of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD). This specialist training enables her to provide support for lymphatic health and comprehensive post-surgical rehabilitation.
Outside of the Clinic, Katherine likes to maintain an active lifestyle and a variety of creative interests. She is an outdoor enthusiast who values quality time with her family and finds balance through reading and baking.
Katherine is also committed to personal fitness, regularly attending the gym to support her own wellbeing. In 2024, she reached a significant personal milestone by completing her first HOKA Runaway Sydney Half Marathon. This enthusiasm to physical health and endurance deeply informs her clinical approach to recovery, patient care and providing a safe, nurturing space for every patient to heal and thrive.
Yukari Sasaki
Remedial Massage Therapist | Oncology Practitioner
Yukari completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy at TAFE NSW in 2016 and is a wonderful addition to our team, she is caring and kind natured. Yukari takes a holistic approach, utilising a traditional massage technique, her technique is relaxing, yet can be firm. In 2019, Yukari added to her qualifications completing her Oncology Massage Training, which allows her to treat patients who are going through their cancer journey.
Michelle Garay
Remedial Massage Therapist | Oncology Practitioner
Michelle has been a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist since 2022 and is experienced in a range of therapeutic modalities, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, basic reflexology, and cupping.
She adopts a professional, client-centred approach to treatment, emphasising careful assessment, attentive listening, and tailored care to address each client’s individual needs.
Michelle has also completed training in Oncology Massage Therapy, enabling her to provide gentle, safe, and specialised support for clients requiring a more sensitive therapeutic approach.
Outside of her clinical practice, Michelle values time with her family and enjoys cooking, crafting, knitting, crocheting, listening to music, dancing, and practising Reformer Pilates.
Nicole Owen
Remedial Massage Therapist
Nicole has been a massage therapist since 2007 and completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2016. Nicole can perform a range of treatments including Swedish, remedial, pregnancy, and reflexology. Nicole is also a great help assisting the chiropractors with all their patients.
Brendan Phan
Remedial Massage Therapist
Brendan completed his diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy at Australian Institute of Fitness in 2023. He utilises various techniques such as sports massage, deep tissue massage, as well as trigger point therapy and cupping therapy. Brendan is very passionate in helping patients feel their absolute best by relieving stress on their body and assisting them in their pain management goals.
Outside the clinic, he has a high interest in keeping physically active by playing sports such as basketball and volleyball, as well as working out at the gym.
Joel Osborne
Exercise Physiologist BSc (Health & Ex.Sc)
Joel graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Exercise Science at the University of Western Sydney. Prior to joining Macarthur Natural Health Clinic, he worked with the Australian Defence Force, gaining extensive experience through working on a number of public and private health initiatives.
Joel has a particular interest in pain management strategies, using exercise as a medium for change. Joel has extensive experience working with participants under the NDIS designing and implementing exercise programs with a large range of challenging and complex cases. Joel has built an excellent rapport with local NDIS support groups and is a good resource for understanding and accessing services under the NDIS. He has broad experience in teaching manual handling techniques and building efficiency in movement. Joel maintains a holistic view of health and well-being and is passionate about empowering others to achieve this.
In his spare time, Joel keeps fit through training in Martial Arts and Crossfit. Joel also enjoys the outdoors, playing guitar and the didgeridoo.
Nicholas Borg
Practice Manager
Nicholas has many years of business experience and is in charge of co-ordinating and managing the smooth running of Macarthur Natural Health Clinic.
Nicholas has a passion for helping people and ensuring that patients achieve the best possible results through treatment plans. Thus, he can recommend treatment alternatives or simply answer any concerns clients may express about health options.
Kristen Doran
Office Manager
Kristen provides office administration support for Macarthur Natural Health Clinic and is also responsible for the clerical management of the day-to-day activities including patient scheduling, assistance with the Chiropractors and Massage Therapists and practice cleanliness. Kristen loves working alongside the Chiropractors and Massage Therapists helping our patients feel comfortable and achieve the best results. Kristen’s dedication to patients can be seen in her friendly and cheerful manner.
In her spare time, Kristen enjoys playing various team sports including Netball, Soccer and Ultimate Frisbee where she has been lucky enough to travel across Australia as well as Internationally to compete at an elite level.
Nina Nguyen
Receptionist
Nina is a friendly and welcoming receptionist, one of the first faces you'll see when you walk into the clinic. With her bubbly personality and warm demeanor, she helps patients feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive. Nina enjoys connecting with people and is passionate about creating positive experiences for everyone who visits the clinic. She is deeply committed to supporting patient health and ensuring quality care begins at the front desk.
Nina holds a Certificate III in Health Administration, a Statement of Attainment in Medical Administration, and has completed her Certificate IV in Health Administration.
Outside of work, Nina enjoys staying active at the gym and exploring new cuisines over dinner with friends.
Serina Borg
Receptionist
Serina is a welcoming receptionist at the clinic who will greet you with a warm smile upon arrival. She will happily book appointments for patients and tend to their needs. Serina loves working alongside the skilled allied health practitioners at the clinic and is currently studying a career in allied health.
Serina enjoys reading, spending time outdoors and has a passion for helping others.
